Recently, COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation Co., Ltd has successfully obtained a RMB transformation finance loan credit granted by Bank of Communications Shanghai Branch in accordance with the standards of the “Finance Catalogue for the Transformation of the Water Transport Industry”, and has realized the first loan of RMB 273 million yuan.

This loan is specifically designated for new-building oil tankers that adopt advanced methanol dual-fuel or methanol-ready power systems, marking the successful implementation of the first finance loan that strictly complies with the Catalogue for the Transformation of the Water Transport Industry, setting a new benchmark for green financing in the industry.
