2025 China High-level Dialogue on Maritime and Commercial Arbitration Held Successfully in Beijing
On June 6, the 2025 China High-level Dialogue on Maritime and Commercial Arbitration was successfully held in Beijing. The dialogue was hosted by the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (hereinafter referred to as "CMAC"), with the collaboration of five institutions, including the All-China Lawyers Association, the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution(AIADR), London Maritime Arbitrators Association(LMAA), Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Institute(SCC), and Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping, as well as 15 domestic and foreign supporting institutions which include, International Commercial Dispute Prevention And Solution Organization(ICDPASO), London International Court of Arbitration(LCIA), Maritime Arbitration Commission of the Industry and Commerce Chamber at the Russian Federation(MAC), Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration(SCMA), Korean Arbitrators Association(KAA), Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration(CRCICA), AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Center.

With the theme of "Promoting Innovation in the Maritime Arbitration System, Building World-Class Arbitration Institutions", the conference invited nearly 30 renowned experts home and abroad to conduct panels and discussions, deepen international arbitration exchanges and cooperation, and seek common development plans for international arbitration. Representatives from government departments, judicial departments, the national trade promotion system, and domestic and foreign legal fields, business communities, academia and other aspects attended the meeting.
REN Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (hereinafter referred to as the "CCPIT") and CMAC, HUANG Yi, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Political Department of the Ministry of Justice, FU Xuyin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport, and WANG Zhenjiang, Vice Chairman of the China Law Society, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. YU Jianlong, Vice Chairman of CCPIT and CMAC presided over the opening ceremony.
This conference has built a high-level exchange platform for maritime and commercial arbitration, which will help concentrate consensus among all parties, inject new impetus into promoting the innovation of the maritime arbitration system and building world-class arbitration institutions, and is of positive significance for promoting international economic and trade exchanges, optimizing the business environment, and enhancing our country's international power in maritime arbitration.
