CMAC Delegation Visited Malaysia and Signed Cooperation Agreements with AIAC and AIADR

From January 28 to 31, Mr. Ren Hongbin, President of China Council for the International Trade (CCPIT) and CCOIC, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Malaysia. Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) accompanied the delegation and attended the 16th Annual Meeting of Malaysia-China Joint Business Council Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Malaysia, which was co-hosted by CCPIT and the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) on January 30, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Ren Hongbin, President of CCPIT, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima (Dr) T.C. Goh, JP, Chairman of the Executive Committee of MCBC, Mr. Sun Shuqiang, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Datuk Beh Hang Kong, Director of MCBC, and Datuk Alvin Tee, Acting Executive Director of MCBC also attended the Meeting.

During the release of achievements, Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, and  Datuk Sandra Rajoo, President of Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), signed cooperation agreements on behalf of their respective organizations in Kuala Lumpur. The cooperation agreements will be conducive to the promotion of cross-border cooperation and exchanges in multi-disputes resolution in the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening the ties between the two sides and playing a model role in cross-regional and cross-institutional cooperation for the construction of the “Belt and Road”.

The Meeting attracted more than 300 Chinese and Malaysian participants from the business community. During the visit, Chinese and Malaysian enterprises carried out one-on-one business matching and reached fruitful cooperation results.
