On November 8, 2023, the opening ceremony of the 5th Shanghai International Arbitration Summit Forum and Shanghai Arbitration Week 2023 was successfully held. With the theme of "New Technologies, New Tracks, New Momentum, New Advantages", the forum was co-organized by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice and others, and hosted by CMAC Shanghai Headquarters and others.

The establishment ceremony of Shanghai Shipping Law Community was held at the same time. On behalf of CMAC Shanghai Headquarter, Dr. Chen Bo, CMAC Deputy Secretary General and Vice President of CMAC Arbitration Court, participated in the ceremony together with 11 representatives from Shanghai government departments, judicial organs, arbitration institutions, law schools, industry associations and relevant professional organizations. CMAC will work with other members to build a government-guided, industry-guided and market-led shipping legal ecosystem, to promote the enhancement of shipping legal service capacity and level, and to better serve and guarantee the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.

During the seminar, Dr. Chen Bo, under the title of "CMAC of Innovation and Breakthrough to Help the Construction of Shipping Center in the New Era", introduced the innovations and breakthroughs made by CMAC in recent years in  optimizing its arbitration rules, innovating and issuing Ad Hoc arbitration service rules and Ad Hoc Arbitration Guidelines for FTZs, improving its branch service network, actively participating in international arbitration governance and rule-making, and vigorously cultivating foreign-related legal talents.Mrs. Xu Fei, Deputy Secretary General of CMAC Shanghai Headquarters and Vice President of Shanghai Arbitration Association, presided over the closing ceremony of the forum.
