On September 22, 2023, the 2023 North Bund Forum, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Transport and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, opened in Shanghai. On September 24, the 2023 North Bund Forum "Justice and Arbitration" Forum-the Fifth China Maritime Justice and Arbitration Summit Forum, organized by CMAC, was successfully held. The forum, co-organized by CMAC Shanghai Headquarters and Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone Arbitration Center and supported by BIMCO, Asia International Arbitration Center, International Chamber of Shipping and AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre, was held in a combination of online and offline mode, focusing on the theme of "Promoting cooperation, seeking new opportunities and Building new offices". Nearly 200 representatives from judicial departments, government departments, industry associations, arbitration practitioners, business people, lawyers and academic experts attended the event. As an important outcome of the Forum,CMAC released the Memorandum of Contract for the Sale and Purchase of Ships (22).

Mr. Yu Jianlong, Vice President of CCPIT, Mr. Xu Huali, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Professor Datuk Sundra Rajoo, President of Asia International Arbitration Center and Asia Institute of Multiple Dispute Resolution, Mr. Simon Bennett, Deputy Secretary General of International Chamber of Shipping, addressed the opening ceremony of the forum, and Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, presided over the opening ceremony.
