CMAC Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center (South China Sub-Commission) inaugurated

In order to promote the establishment of a high-quality diversified dispute resolution mechanism, optimize the business environment, and facilitate the high-quality integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with the approval of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the rgistration by the Department of Justice of Guangdong Province for record and registration. CMAC established  its new branch ---Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center (South China Sub-Commission) in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

On September 14, 2023, Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development, co-sponsored by CCPIT, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, was held in Macao. Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of CCPIT, Mr. He Yicheng, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Li Jiachao, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Guo Lanfeng, Party member of the National Development and Reform Commission, Mr. Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of Commerce, and Mr. Guo Yile, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, addressed the opening ceremony of the conference. More than 1,000 people from 20 countries and regions attended the meeting, focusing on digital economy, green finance, cultural and tourism exhibition, connectivity and other hot topics of concern to Chinese and foreign business communities. At the conference, CMAC Greater Bay Area Arbitration Centre (South China Sub-Commission)was officially inaugurated.

Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of CCPIT, Mr. He Yicheng, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Zheng Xincong, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Liu Xianfa, Special Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Guo Yile, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Mr. Xie Yonghai, Vice President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and Mr. Li Hu, Vice Chiarman of CMAC jointly inaugurated the Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center.

As a promotional and innovative platform of CMAC in South China and the Greater Bay Area, the Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center will give full play to its advantages in arbitration legal services, strive to promote the innovation of diversified dispute resolution mechanisms, promote the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, rely on the Greater Bay Area, serve the domestic and foreign markets, connect with the Asia-Pacific region, spread to Europe and the United States, and help build a soft environment for foreign-related legal services in the region. It will help improve the business environment and promote the sustainable development of regional export-oriented economy.
