On February 11, the China Commission of Arbitration for Sport(CCAS) held its inaugural meeting and the first plenary meeting of the first committee in Beijing. GAO Zhidan, General Director of the State General Administration of Sport and Secretary of the Party Group, WANG Ruilian, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Sport and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, jointly unveiled China Commission of Arbitration for Sport.

The CCAS is the only arbitration institution in China established by the State General Administration of Sports in accordance with the law to handle disputes in the field of sports. The first session of the Committee consisted of 15 members. The chairman of the committee is WANG Ruilian, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Sports and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group. The members include people-in-charge from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, and the No. 4 Intermediate People's Court of Beijing Municipality, as well as authoritative experts and representatives of athletes, coaches, referees and other sports workers who have been engaged in sports law research for a long time.

After the inauguration meeting, the CCAS held the first plenary meeting of the first committee, deliberated and adopted the charter of the committee, the proposal for the main responsibilities of the internal organs of the secretariat, the proposal for the composition of the special committee, and the measures for the appointment and management of arbitrators.
