Zhoushan August bonded bunker sales gain 16.01% on year

Four major bunkering ports in the world respectively released updates of bunker sales volume in August 2022, all showcasing an increase on a year-on-year basis.

Singapore: According to the preliminary data from Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the bunker sales of Singapore - the largest and most important bunkering port in the world - expanded by 1.1% year on year, to 4,116.3mt in August 2022.

Fujairah Port of the United Arab Emirates: Bunker sales in August at the UAE’s Port of Fujairah, the world’s third-largest bunking hub, gained 8.7% on a monthly basis, up by 2.9% from August 2021. A total of 728,287 cu.m of bunker fuel has been supplied in August 2022, despite the flooding halted bunker operations.

Zhoushan Port of China: According to the updated statistics from the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone Authority, a total of 579.8 mt of bonded bunker fuel was supplied at the port in Zhoushan in August 2022. Bonded bunker sales during the first eight months of 2022 were at 3,867.9 mt, up by 16.01% from a year earlier, increasing by double digits. The bunker sales of all products during the first eight months of 2022 were 9.96% higher than in 2021, totaling 7,995.6 mt.

Panama Port: August bunker sales for all products rose more than 21% year-on-year, totaling 472,448mt, according to the preliminary data from the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP).
