On 18 August 2022, CMAC, in collaboration with the Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone Management Committee, hosted the CMAC Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center Inauguration Ceremony & 1^st Northeast Asia International Commercial Dispute Resolution Summit in HI-chance (Dalian) Sci-Tech Exchange Center as well as online. With the approval of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, registration of the Department of Justice of Liaoning Province, CMAC Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center was formally established in Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

As an important arbitration institution within the Northeast Asia region, the establishment of the CMAC Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center will create a larger platform for realizing the prospect of building Dalian into an international shipping center.

The event, co-organized by the CMAC Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Dalian Sub-council, received strong support from the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, Japan International Dispute Resolution Center, the Mongolia International Arbitration Center, Bishkek International Court of Arbitration for Mining and Commerce, Tashkent International Arbitration Centre and Harbin Arbitration Commission.

At the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Ke Liangdong (Vice Chairman of CCPIT) and Mr. Guo Yunfeng (Vice Mayor of Dalian Municipal Government) delivered the welcome remarks respectively and then jointly unveiled the nameplate of CMAC Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center. The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Si Yuzhuo (honorable member of CMI, former President of Dalian Maritime University), Mr. Shi Liqiang (Director of Management Committee of Dalian Area of China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone), Mr. Sun Lianyun (President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Dalian Sub-council), Mr. Zhang Jian (Vice President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Liaoning Sub-council), Mr. Chang Zhongyan (Vice President of Dalian Maritime Court), Mr. Xu Minqiang (Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Dalian Maritime University), Mr. Li Yanfeng (President of Dalian Federation of Industry and Commerce), Dr. Guan Zhengyi (Director of Steering Committee of CMAC Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center) and Mr. Qu Zhiyong (President of Dalian Lawyers Association).

With the opening ceremony, keynote speeches and panel discussions, the event attracted 100 on-site attendees and nearly 30000 online participants.
