The Arrangement Concerning Mutual Assistance in Court-ordered Interim Measures in Aid of Arbitral Proceedings by the Courts of the Mainland and of the Macao Special Administrative Region (the Arrangement) was adopted by the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court at its 1864th meeting on 15 February 2022 and will be implemented since 25 March 2022. The Arrangement is a new development of  "one country, two systems" policy in the judicial field and a new initiative of the two places to discuss and share a diversified dispute resolution mechanism, also a new exploration of the judicial and commercial rules convergence. The Arrangement specifies the types of preservation that can be adopted, the applicable arbitration procedures, and the stages of application for preservation, achieving comprehensive coverage of mutual assistance in arbitration between the Mainland and Macao SAR, and covering all arbitration institutions in Macao, reflecting the greatest support for Macao's legal services industry. Not only is the entire consultation process of the Arrangement conducted online, but also it adopts "cloud signing" and "cloud publishing".
